Injecting a Sample

To inject the sample, insert the needle into the injection port without bending the tip. With a smooth motion, depress the piston and immediately withdraw the syringe from the instrument. Note the injection time by placing a mark on the chromatogram (the mark can be made electronically or manually).

If the peaks of the chromatogram are too large, decrease the quantity of the sample injected into the instrument.
